If you are not the primary care provider and do have the name of the primary care provider, please do share that with us

Alternatively, please download the referral form below and fax it back to us at 780-784-6689

We DO accept ANY other referral form eg. Canadian Armed forces, ER forms, Any other proprietary forms provided that are directed or re-directed to InspiroMed Clinics, Dr. Kumar Ramlall, or Dr. Aman Nasir.

Please do NOT send referrals or any communication through ConnectCare as our clinic is NOT on that system and we will not receive your communication.

  • We review each referral and will get back to you within 7 business days if the referral is accepted. The vast majority of referrals are accepted. VERY few referrals are declined and we provide an explanation if this is done and will provide guidance on what we think may be helpful to you or your patient.

Based on the information you provide to us, each referral is triaged and is seen as soon as possible. That varies from same day to 3 to 6 months typically.

  • A referral is reviewed and triaged as above and you receive a fax within 7 business days of acceptance or guidance in the very rare circumstance that the referral is declined.

We will contact the patient to provide instructions for our appointment and to book the appointment

We will notify your office of the appointment date and time once booked.

  • A dictated consultation note is sent to you, as best as we possibly can, within 14 business days

A copy of this consultation letter is uploaded to Netcare and that is accessible to you and to your patient

The patient may obtain a copy of their full consultation note if they sign up for our secure patient portal.

If there are follow-up appointments or tests, we arrange that and ensure you get a copy

If we are asking for your assistance with any follow-up, we will contact you with that request and are very grateful for your assistance with that.

If the patient is referred by a physician or practitioner with no scheduled follow-up with them, we will make our best efforts to communicate with the primary care provider and indicate how the patient came to see us.

  • There is no fee to the patient for the consultation, the process of testing itself, or the interpretation provided as this is covered through Alberta Health.

The materials and extracts used in testing are purchased by the clinic and are NOT paid for by Alberta Health.

The clinic does charge a fee for these materials due at the time of the appointment and testing and a receipt is provided to the patient. We do not offer third-party billing as this would increase the administrative charges which then must be recovered from the patient.

If we prescribe treatments such as Subcutaneous Allergy Immunotherapy (Allergy Shots), the patient is responsible for paying us for this treatment which is custom-made for the patient by a third party. We are then responsible for the safety checks etc. and making dosing changes etc. that are required before the patient receives the first dose of the new treatment set with us. We will only order these treatments once payment has been received by us so that we have not paid for a treatment that the patient no longer wishes.

If there are in-office challenges, there is a fee to cover medications used for the purpose of providing the challenge and for ensuring that this is safely accomplished.

  • A physician may request to speak with one of our Doctors about any of our current or any New patients. Please contact us at 780-784-0920 to arrange.

  • While we do not recommend this, if a physician or referring practitioner feels warranted, we will see patients in a second opinion.
